Wilkinson Eye Center is currently hiring an Optician for their Clarkston and Pontiac locations in Michigan.
If you’re a team player, organized and passionate about patient care, have exceptional time management skills, attention to detail and have 1-3 years of experience as an optician you belong here! We are looking to hire an energetic, Optician for our well-established Ophthalmology practice.
As an optician in our practice, you’ll be:
Working with patients to select the best frame and lens combination to fit their individual needs.
Working with patients to find solutions to all their visual needs. Knowing what lens designs and products will be appropriate for each situation.
Taking measurements and fitting eyeglasses for patients to fit their visual needs as well as making them look and feel amazing.
Adjust and repair eyewear.
Placing orders and billing insurance as needed. Following up on lab orders and checking in eyewear when it is received to assure accuracy and exceptional quality.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming atmosphere.
Requirements
1-3 years previous experience as an Optician required. ABO Certification is a plus!
Excellent computer and communication skills.
Problem solving skills are a must.
Must be able to travel to Clarkston, Pontiac, and Birmingham when needed.
Must be organized, flexible and versatile with the ability to function effectively in stressful situations.
Must work well with others, be patient and kind.
