Michigan Nanny Solutions is Hiring a Full-Time Nanny in Lowell Near Lowell, MI

Michigan Nanny Solutions is now interviewing for the following position:

A loving family in Lowell is seeking a Full-Time Nanny for 40 hours per week!

Parents are looking to hire a Professional Nanny with experience working with and/or teaching preschoolers to provide loving care and consistent learning and development to their twin girls, who are 2.5-years-old. The Family will guarantee 40 hours each week, though the weekly schedule will be adjusted for summer/school breaks and the school year. The Family would love to welcome their new Nanny to their family by early- to mid-July, if not sooner, and hope the Nanny can commit to working with the twins for at least the next two years, until they start school full-time in the fall of 2026.

For the summer months and during scheduled school breaks, Nanny will work 4 weekdays each week from 7:30am to 5:30pm for a guaranteed 40 hours per week. The day that the Nanny will have off each week can be chosen by the Nanny, but it must be the same day each week once set (ie. working Monday-Thursday and having every Friday off.) During the school year, Nanny will work from 10:50am to 5:30pm every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and from 7:30am to 5:30pm on Tuesday and Thursday, for a guaranteed 40 hours per week. The Family would love to hire a Nanny who is occasionally available and willing to pick up overtime hours to assist with dinner, baths, and bedtime. These additional hours will be available an average of once a month when the mother travels for work and Nanny will have first right of refusal of any additional hours.

During the school year, the twins will attend preschool every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday morning until 11:15am. Parents will do preschool drop-off, and Nanny’s workday will start at 10:50am by picking up the provided family vehicle at their home and driving to the preschool by 11:15am for pick-up. On Tuesdays and Thursdays, and during the summer and school breaks, the Nanny and children will spend their days playing, exploring, and learning together. Nanny will be encouraged to plan outings and playdates, plan crafts, games, and activities for the children, will prioritize and oversee daily outside play and exploration time, and will help influence the children’s learning and development through teaching-through-play. Michigan Nanny Solutions provides Nannies with a weekly themed curriculum to make teaching-through-play easy and fun! The Family lives near a lake that the girls love to play in and around and they would love to hire a Nanny who is a strong swimmer and extremely vigilant about water safety.

Above all else, the Family hopes Nanny truly loves their smart, funny, adventurous girls as much as they do and that they sincerely enjoy the time they get to spend together each day! They know that their Nanny will become the twins’ best friend and favorite playmate, and that they will also be an important role model for the girls, supporting the parents as they intentionally raise emotionally intelligent and empathetic young people who treat every person they meet with dignity, kindness, and respect.

The Family has two gentle and friendly dogs that can spend their days outdoors with a doggy door to give them access to the garage if the Nanny prefers. No other daily care for the dogs is needed, though the Family would love to have the Nanny housesit or provide daily drop-ins and pet care on weeks that they travel as part of Nanny’s guaranteed pay benefit.

The Nanny will also be responsible for light child-related housekeeping, including: helping with the girls’ laundry, washing dishes used by Nanny and the girls, tidying and maintaining organization in the girls’ bedroom and play spaces, and tidying up after meals, indoor and outdoor playtime, and craft or learning activities, while encouraging the girls’ active participation in chores as much as possible.

The ideal Nanny for this family is an active, fun-loving, friendly, and dedicated child caregiver who has a positive and inclusive outlook on life and strives to treats others with respect, kindness, and empathy (and is skilled in modeling these traits for the children they care for!) They have a personal and professional passion for spending their days investing in the children in their care, making sure they feel seen, understood, and loved, and keeping them safe, healthy, and engaged. They are a professional career Nanny with solid work ethic and a high level of reliability, responsibility, and trustworthiness. The Family hopes Nanny quickly feels like family, and will be comfortable and confident in keeping open, honest lines of communication with the parents in all things related to the children and the position. The Parents would love to work with someone who has a degree or coursework in early childhood education or child development, who has taught or assisted in a preschool classroom, and/or who has worked with several sets of multiples in their career.

This position requires a long-term commitment to the family, preference will be given to the candidate who is willing to stay with the family until the girls start attending full-time school in the fall of 2026. A minimum of 1 year commitment is required. Pay will start at $22-26 per hour depending on education and experience. Nanny will have guaranteed pay, paid time off, paid holidays, and other standard nanny benefits. Details will be discussed with qualified nannies at an in-person interview.

The right candidate:

  • Will have AT LEAST three years of part-time or full-time nanny experience, or at least three years in a daycare or classroom setting, from age 18 forward. Preference will be given to candidates who have at least two years of professional nanny experience.
  • Will have their own reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and a clean driving record.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age and legal to work in the USA.
  • Must pass a thorough background check with motor vehicle report and drug test before starting the position.
  • Must have current CPR/First aid certification or agree to complete a class within 90 days of start-date.
  • Ideally will be up to date on COVID and this year’s flu shot, but the family is willing to consider an otherwise well-qualified candidate who will not or cannot receive or maintain these vaccinations.
