Position Details

Youth Advancement Academy is looking to add a new middle school school teacher for the remainder 2023-2024 school year. and for the 2024-2025 school year.

The classroom teacher is responsible for monitoring student academic progress, provide academic intervention based within the teacher’s certification area, and provide frequent updates to parents on student academic progress. The teacher is responsible for 10-15 students in grades 7-8 and needs to have strong classroom management skills and be certified to teach grades 6-12 in Michigan.

Experience working with at risk students is preferred.

Youth Advancement Academy is a strict-discipline academy that serves the KRESA consortium of schools. Students attend full days Monday through Thursday and are in attendance on Friday for a half day.
