Position: High School Vocational Business Teacher – Michigan Teacher Certificate

Salary: Per SCEA Master Agreement

Direct Supervisor: Building Principal

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution of higher education
• Must be highly qualified and certified to teach in the State of Michigan and possess the necessary educational background and the Michigan teacher certification in (or qualification for) Vocational Business (VB 6-12), and either Business (GX 6-12) or Business Management, Marketing, and Technology (GQ 6-12) or Business Administration (GH 6-12), an additional subject area certification is a plus
• Must possess the ability to deliver effective classroom instruction and management
• Must possess a strong desire to work with students and their parents
• Must possess a willingness to participate in a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities including staff and curriculum development
• Must possess a willingness to work as part of a building team for the improvement of instruction
• Must possess a willingness to adapt to continuous change
• Must possess excellent communication skills when engaging with students, parents, and colleagues
• Must possess a demonstrated mental/physical ability and stamina for meeting the requirements of the position
Punctual, regular, & consistent attendance is required.

FLSA Status: Exempt
