Job Description
- Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Diagnose issues, dismantle machinery and equipment, and perform repairs or adjustments as needed.
- Conduct preventive maintenance activities such as lubricating parts, replacing worn components, and inspecting machinery for potential issues.
- Collaborate with production personnel to prioritize maintenance and repair tasks based on production schedules.
- Document maintenance and repair activities, including parts used and work performed.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety regulations and protocols.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimize downtime by swiftly resolving issues.
- Assist in installing new equipment and machinery as needed.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial setting, preferably in food processing or related industries.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems.
- Knowledge of electrical systems and experience with basic electrical repairs.
- Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and blueprints.
- Familiarity with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve production goals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy equipment and perform tasks requiring manual labor.
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
