Description

As the Safety Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing comprehensive environmental, health, and safety programs to ensure compliance with regulations, promote employee well-being, and minimize environmental impact. You will collaborate with various departments to create a culture of safety and sustainability throughout the organization.

• Oversee the safety program and provide supervision of the Safety Specialist
• Train employees on Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, such as, but not limited to, forklifts, LOTO, personal protective equipment, and blood-borne pathogens
• Perform audits and inspections and create detailed reports
• Manage PPE program, including placing orders, and daily presence on production floor
• Design and implement safety and health programs to prevent, correct, and/or control unsafe and noncompliant conditions
• Review and evaluate new and existing operations to identify and resolve any safety and issues in manufacturing processes
• Eliminate or control hazardous conditions resulting from human error, equipment and machine operations that may lead to human injury and/or property damage
• Conduct safety audits and advise management on safety issues observed
• Complete related documentation and reports
• Investigate accidents to determine causes and how to prevent such accidents in the future
• Plan and test emergency systems and procedures to ensure proper preparation
• Follow standard work instructions
• Other duties as assigned

Profile

• 5 years of Health and Safety management experience in a Manufacturing environment
• Experience with interpretation of OSHA regulations and safety policy and programs
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook experience
• Project management experience is a plus
• Valid driver's license is required in order to drive between the production facilities
• Must be willing to cross-train
