Job Description

Responsibilities for the estimator :

• Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other relevant documents to determine the scope and requirements of the project.
• Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and other expenses.
• Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes and pricing information.
• Work closely with project managers to develop and refine project budgets.
• Prepare bid proposals and participate in negotiations with clients and other stakeholders.
• Review and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals.
• Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and other industry professionals.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, construction methods, and materials pricing.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Construction Estimator in residential and commercial construction projects.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of construction industry practices, standards, and regulations.
• Proficiency in construction estimating software, such as ProEst or PlanSwift.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Willingness to work extended hours as needed to meet project deadlines.
