Our client is a General Contractor that has been doing construction for 30 years across the Carolinas, and recently started their commercial division 2 years ago under a new VP. They have since went from $0 worth of work to $60M worth, and have seen tremendous growth across the Carolinas.
The group specializes in commercial construction projects ranging $5M-$20M local to the Triangle.
They continue to hold on to their family-like and team-based culture despite their rapid growth. Our team has placed an Estimator with their Columbia team before and they have backed their culture and have excelled with the company. They are looking for an Estimator to join their Raleigh office with hard bid experience to help them win bids and establish new client bases!

Job Description

The Commercial Construction Estimator will be responsible for:

• Analyzing construction blueprints and other documents to prepare time frames, costs, material, and labor estimates
• Preparing bid packages, development budgets, and analyzing subcontractor bids for use in conceptual and bid proposal estimates
• Establishing pricing and conducting comparison activities
• Working closely with construction project management team to maintain estimate throughout project
• Consulting with vendors and internal project teams to resolve issues
• Establishing and maintaining strong subcontractor relationships

The Successful Applicant

The Commercial Construction Estimator will be responsible for:

• At least 5 years construction estimating experience
• Ability to perform take-offs and organize conceptual budget pricing
• Must have hard bid experience.
• Must be a self-starter and understand deadlines.
• Must have good phone and excellent people skills.
• Must be proficient with project/estimating related software including iSqFt, ProCore, Sage, On-Screen Takeoff
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, QuickBid)

• Base salary contingent on experience (ranging roughly $80,000-$110,000)
