Job Description

• Assists in understanding and following federal, state, and local environmental and safety rules.
• Supports safety and environmental programs across the company, covering areas like confined space entry and electrical safety.
• Helps with reporting and analyzing safety and environmental data.
• Checks facilities for safety hazards and suggests ways to fix or prevent them.
• Assists in investigating incidents and keeping records required by OSHA.
• Acts as a contact person during emergencies at Milford facilities.
• Helps identify job hazards and assesses risks.
• Keeps track of safety performance and shares findings with managers.
• Helps create training programs to teach employees about safety and reducing environmental harm.
• Reviews and approves safety data sheets (MSDSs) and ensures they're up-to-date.
• Stays updated on safety rules and supports safety committees.
• Aids in facility inspections by outside agencies and filling out environmental reports.

The Successful Applicant

• Prefer a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, EHS, or Industrial fields.
• Experience with OSHA / EPA regulations is needed.
• ASP or CHMM certification is a plus.
• Good interpersonal skills and effective communication.
• Comfortable with basic math and chemistry.
• Self-motivated and familiar with using computers.
• Exposure to industrial hygiene and environmental waste management is beneficial.
