Act as a community lending officer at a long-standing, successful, non-for-profit Credit Union that has been operating in the space for decades.

Client Details

The client is a non-for-profit Credit Union that is focused on building its client's financial strength, focused on smooth digital experiences, and centered on its local community

Description

  • Our Community Lending Officers are expected to engage in business-related development opportunities, contribute to community initiatives promoting home ownership, and participate in professional organizations.
  • Conduct interviews with new and existing members to ascertain their loan financial objectives and goals. Provide advice on suitable Citadel products, terms, and pricing, while gathering necessary additional information. Review and analyze credit and financial data, explaining guidelines.
    • Communicate pricing and lock rate when required; Identify suitable opportunities to promote additional products.
    • Gather required supporting loan documentation and submit a complete package to the Mortgage Loan Processor.
  • Collaborate with the Director of Sales to organize four homebuyer seminars annually and engage in Community Lending-related events (such as Housing Fairs).
  • Volunteer to serve on a Board or committee of a not-for-profit organization.

Profile

  • Minimum three years of experience in marketing and originating community lending mortgage loans and loan products is required.
  • Documented residential mortgage loan volume of at least $18 million in the past 12 months.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish relationships with local referral networks.
  • Active registration status with NMLS (Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry) must be maintained.
  • Proven effectiveness in sales skills.
  • Excellent time management skills are essential.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal to no supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to travel to assigned branch locations, customers' homes and businesses, closings, and conduct presentations when requested.
  • Superior written and oral communication skills are a must.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Familiarity with Encompass loan origination software and AUS systems like DU, Total Scorecard, and GUS.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English/Spanish is preferred.
