Michael Byrne Manufacturing is seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembler to join our team. In this position you will be responsible for assembling auger boring machines according to engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications. You will work closely with our engineering and production teams to ensure products are assembled efficiently and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications to assemble auger boring machines
• Assist with assembly of the drive train, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on the machine
• Work with the lead mechanic to diagnose and repair used construction equipment
• Use hand and power tools, such as wrenches, screwdrivers, drills, and pneumatic tools, to assemble parts.
• Test machines after assembly to ensure they function correctly and meet quality standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training or certification in mechanical assembly is preferred.
• Proven experience as a mechanical assembler or mechanic
• Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
• Attention to detail and ability to work with precision to ensure product quality.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures and practices in a manufacturing setting.
