Senior Accountant - Inventory

6-9 month Contract

Hybrid Role (Newark, CA)

This position pays between $90-$125/hourly (W2).

The Role:

• Reconciliation of Inventory Ledgers on monthly basis
• Participate in the monthly close process and review material and production variances to ensure accuracy of inventory, capitalized costs, COGS, and reporting.
• Reconciliation and review over inventory related liabilities
• Preparation of internal control on accounting processes and ensure compliance with SOX for inventory and related operations.
• Support external audit for interim and year-end audit procedures.
• Partner closely with key internal stakeholders (i.e., PLM, supply chain, logistics, production, FP&A, IT etc.) to streamline workflows, reduce monthly close cycle time and ensure a continuous improvement in inventory and cost accounting processes.
• Partner with operations in manufacturing, logistics, and supply chain to understand products costs and variance drivers.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• Proficient in US GAAP
• Automotive or large scale production experience required
• Inventory Accounting experience required
• CPA license required
• Automotive industry experience preferred or experience in the large-scale manufacturing space with a large supplier base
• Working knowledge of SAP S4 Hanna or related manufacturing systems
• Minimum 8-10 years in a financial accounting role or relevant experience
• Experience in building and leading a team. Strong ability to coach, mentor and develop team members.
• Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to build cross functional partnerships and work in a collaborative environment.
• Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced environment, and continuously evolving to meet changing business needs.
