As the Engagement & Advancement Officer, you will have an impact on the greater MVS community.Primary Responsibilities-Fundraising & Donor Engagement:As a highly organized, creative, detail-oriented, reliable, and relationship-minded person, the Engagement & Advancement Officer will work closely with the Director of Advancement to develop engagement and fundraising strategies and implement action plans that strengthen ties between the school and community stakeholders.The Engagement & Advancement Officer will actively manage a major giving/sponsorship portfolio involving prospecting, qualifying prospects, gift solicitation, and post-gift stewardship. The officer will create strategic initiatives and, at times, lead organization-wide outreach, alumni, and advancement events.Other duties as assigned.Expectations:Highly organized, motivated, strategic thinker, self-starter with proven interpersonal, written, and oral communication skillsA passion for relationship building informed by strategic planning and donor record managementProven ability to maintain confidentiality, and professionalismAble to succeed in a fast-paced work environmentAble to contribute to the team as well as work independentlyDemonstrated ability to follow through on responsibilitiesSecondary Responsibilities-MVx Immersive Experience Coordination:Develop a five-year trip itinerary for the adult Immersive program;Establish a supportive and engaging environment for participants;Partner with the immersive experience leader to coordinate and execute the experience;One adult Immersive opportunity per year; alternating between an international experience and a long weekend regional trip;Demonstrate a commitment to reflection and innovation as MVS builds the MVx program;Build collaborative partnerships with students, faculty, staff, parents, and alumni;Be prepared to travel on some immersive adult experiences, depending on enrollment and the use of a travel agency;Report to the Head of School.Qualifications:An undergraduate degree or higher is preferred3 years fundraising experience; 1 years in major gift givingA willingness to be a positive, present, and engaged member of the communityA willingness to travel as needed and be out of town for eventsA willingness to commit to the schools’ initiatives around Diversity, Equity, and InclusionSuccessful experience working within the community and/or alumni relationsDemonstrated success in achieving fundraising goalsProven computer skills and comfort with technology; experience with CRM programmingBenefits.
