Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. As a Veterinary Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to our animal patients. This position requires strong technical skills, a deep understanding of veterinary medicine, and a genuine love for animals.
Duties:
- Assist veterinarians in providing medical care to animals
- Perform various laboratory tests and diagnostic procedures
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by veterinarians
- Prepare animals for surgery and assist during surgical procedures
- Take X-rays
- Monitor anesthesia during surgical procedures
- Provide post-operative care and monitor recovery
- Perform dental scaling and xrays
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records
Skills:
- Proficient in pet care, including feeding, grooming, and exercise
- Knowledge of kennel procedures and animal handling techniques
- Strong understanding of veterinary technician duties and responsibilities
- Ability to safely restrain animals for examination and treatment
- Experience with digital X-ray equipment operation
- Familiarity with veterinary terminology and medical procedures
- Understanding of animal physiology and anatomy
- Proficient in animal catheterization techniques
