This Student Advisement Support provides a broad range of support activities that assist students with their educational and career planning.

• Coordinates academic and career advisement for students
• Provides assistance with admission, assessment and registration issues
• Assists with clarifying student career and academic goals
• Assists with resolving student advisement issues
• Assists students with completion of various forms necessary to meet educational goals
• Follows up with students and maintains relevant record keeping and tracking
• Participates in scheduled training activities and workshops
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution in a relevant field
• All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
• Knowledge and understanding of College organization, goals and objectives, and policies and procedures
• Experience working with students in an academic setting
• Experience working with a student information system
• Effective communication skills both orally and in writing
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
• Ability to establish and maintain effective public relations
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include days, evenings, and weekends
• Ability to work well in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
