Nurse must utilize assessment skills and clinical protocol guidelines in a decision-making capacity to provide patient care safely and efficiently. Responsibilities include assessment, coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the plan of care in collaboration with other members of the multi-disciplinary team. What you will do: Patient assessments Telephone triage IV insertions Central line maintenance and care Phlebotomy Blood product administration Medication administration included chemotherapy and immunotherapy Infection prevention guideline adherence Provide individualized patient and caregiver education Communication with ordering providers and care team Monitoring for infusion complications Management of side effects Medication refills and education Core Skills Required: Communication: effectively communicates with patients, families, and colleagues Compassion: demonstrates compassionate, patient-centered care Critical Thinking: able to analyze and evaluate information Prioritization: able to prioritize and reprioritize patient care continuously Nursing Process: able to assess, analyze, plan, implement and evaluate care Safe care: consistently uses two patient identifiers (name and date of birth) for ALL patient care Resource Utilization: able to consistently demonstrate utilization of policies, procedures, and clinical resources Time Management: able to complete interventions and holistically manage a patient assignment Delegation: able to delegate appropriate tasks while maintaining accountability What you will need: Graduation from a NLN or AACN accredited school of nursing Baccalaureate Degree in the Science of Nursing (BSN) Degree or enrollment in a BSN program from an accredited school of nursing. Completion required within 4 years of hire.
