Employment Type: Full time Shift: Description: High school education or equivalent. Preferred Completion of a formal Pharmacy Technician training program; or two years of college with emphasis in math, science, or medical field applications. Credentials/Licensure Minimum Fully licensed as a Pharmacy Technician in the State of Michigan. Prepares, packages, and distributes medication orders per physician/pharmacist request, or prearranged work assignment according to established policies, procedures and protocols. (PTCB certification perferred) Maintains adequate stock of medications and supplies according to established policies and procedures. Contributes to effective and quality operation of the department. Maintains logs, records, and other required documentation; files documentation; answers telephone and pneumatic tube; and handles cash transactions. Processes medication charges and credits according to established policy. Basic pharmacy computer order entry. Basic customer service and telephone skills. Trinity Health Pharmacy - Byron Center is open Monday-Friday 7:30am-6:00pm, closed for lunch daily 12:30pm-1:00pm. This position will be five 8-hour shifts.
