Job Purpose:

The Lanco Group of Companies MIS team is currently looking for a Business Analyst to support our ERP footprint and future upgrades. Spread across the heavy equipment manufacturing, distribution, and service industries, this opening within Lanco is an opportunity to use your experiences to analyze and optimize our business processes.

As an ERP Business Analyst, you will work closely with various business units to help align ERP functionality to meet business requirements. Essential Functions:

  • Organize and lead Requirement Gathering Phase with focus in Manufacturing, Finance, Sales, Purchasing, Service, and Inventory Management areas
  • Ability to dive into complex ERP application steps and functional flows that support business processes from end-to-end scenarios
  • Document complex business processes in a clear fashion, catering for different audiences from end users to middle management and executive leadership
  • Have expanded contact with responsibility to multiple departments and functional areas and actively participate in business requirement gathering sessions
  • Function as a guide and point of reference for Subject Matter Experts to aid in completion and submission of properly documented software enhancement requests
  • Keep up to date business process documentation as it relates to application development and software enhancement process
  • Lead as a training resource and application champion, support ERP applications with out of box or customized functional steps needed to complete business processes
  • Serve as an ERP Business Analyst representing the MIS Development Team working on various projects simultaneously
  • Work alongside MIS Development team in software feature deployments and COTS (Commercial Off-The-Shelf) product implementations

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Extensively use company provided tracking and scheduling systems to maintain, track and report on business enhancement requests
  • Detailed analysis of software enhancement requests and end user inquiries as they relate to application functionality 
  • Interact with the ERP software vendors as needed, documenting problems in detail and working with technical support to resolve application problems
  • Participate in Business Process Optimization efforts under supervision of team leaders and senior analysts
  • Prepare training content and materials as it relates to documented business processes

Qualifications Guidelines

Experience/Training/Education:

Preferred:

- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field

- 2-5 Years working in a team supporting multiple ERP and business critical applications

- Experience in streamlining business processes and understanding process flows, working at a multi-company organization across multiple teams to create common processes and procedures, which contribute to continuous improvement for all ERP business processes

- Participated as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst in an ERP Upgrade, Migration, or Conversion project

Desired:

- IIBA Business Analyst Certification

- Epicor ERP Enterprise Version 10 experience

- Salesforce Enterprise Application experience

Physical and Environmental Elements:

This is primarily an office classification and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. May work offsite in various environments; travel may be required. Finger dexterity is needed to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer keyboard, typewriter keyboard or calculator and to operate standard office equipment. Must be able to speak clearly and communicate clearly in English. The position occasionally bends, stoops, reaches, pushes, and pulls drawers to retrieve and file information and lifts and carries reports, records, and other materials that typically weigh less than 30 pounds.
