MHC Healthcare is seeking a Café Employee to join the Copper Café team inside the Marana Main Health Center, located in the heart of Marana, AZ. The Café Employee will be responsible for assisting the Café Manager in the daily opening and closing of the café. The Café Employee will also be responsible for ensuring the food preparation area is clean and orderly. MHC Healthcare is a Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC), with 17 sites in Tucson and Pima County. Our mission is to improve our Community by providing exceptional, whole-person healthcare.
The following qualifications are required:- High School Diploma or GED; required.
The following qualifications are preferred:- Three (3) month’s experience in food preparation, preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered if applicable and must be directly related to the functions and body of knowledge required to successfully perform the job.
This position has the following supervisory responsibility:- There is no supervisor responsibility for this position.
The ideal candidate will also possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Ability to obtain a food handlers license.
- Ability to greet, serve and provide good customer service.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with people from various cultural backgrounds
- Ability to count change and reconcile cash drawer at the end of each shift.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Understand and follow Copper Café’s policies and procedures, as well as all MHC policies and procedures.
- Understand and master all training materials and ask appropriate questions.
- Be an interactive learner.
- Be respectful to others.
- Interact cooperatively with co-workers.
- Maintain a positive attitude in all interactions.
- Demonstrate professional customer service to all patrons.
- Learn the components of each work station and be able to assist.
- Take on increased responsibility including, but not limited to, learning how to grill using proper food handling procedures and mentoring new trainees.
