As a Parts Department Manager with MH Equipment your primary function is to provide supervision and support for the Dayton Parts Department.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Organize people and resources toward the effective and efficient pursuit of predetermined objectives.
  • Manage the inventory levels, fill rates, inventory turns, consignment inventories, van inventories, stock/ emergency ratio’s, etc. for efficiency.
  • Manage departmental expenses and recoveries, such as Emergency charges, freight charges, restocking charges, etc.
  • Use best parts ordering methods to ensure maximum efficiency, lowest cost and customer satisfaction.
  • Hire and maintain the highest quality employees to conduct parts business. This would include hiring, evaluating, coaching, disciplining and training of employee’s who are inspired to be on the team.
  • Responsible for identifying, vendor sourcing, quoting, researching, and obtaining the correct parts.
  • Expedite backordered parts, assist with difficult to find parts, to support the needs of the customer and the service department.
  • Provide whatever is necessary and appropriate for customer satisfaction.
  • Resolve customer and service department complaints.
  • Anticipate required parts and direct projects that ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that annual inventory is correct and accurate. Minimize losses, errors, mistakes, etc.
  • Approve returns, credits, policy adjustments, etc.
  • Follow established company policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions: Employee is expected to work forty hours per week plus whatever time is required to accomplish the goals of the position. This is a salaried, exempt position.
