Job Summary : A Marble Warehouse Laborer is responsible for handling, storing, and preparing marble slabs and products in a warehouse environment.

This role involves receiving shipments, organizing inventory, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of marble products, and assisting in the loading and unloading of materials.

The laborer must adhere to safety standards and ensure the marble is handled with care to prevent damage.

Salary : $20 Per Hour

Location : Seattle, WA

Hours : 7 : 30am to 4 : 00pm

Key Responsibilities :

• Receiving and Processing Shipments :
• Inspect incoming marble for damage and report any discrepancies.
• Sort and store marble in designated areas within the warehouse.
• Inventory Management :
• Organize and maintain marble inventory to ensure easy access and retrieval.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and update records accurately.
• Label and track marble products using inventory management systems.
• Order Fulfillment :
• Pick marble slabs and products from storage based on order specifications.
• Prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accurate and careful handling to prevent damage.
• Load orders onto trucks or other transport vehicles with attention to safety and security.
• Warehouse Maintenance :
• Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and free of hazards.
• Maintain equipment such as forklifts and lifting devices and report any maintenance needs.
• Ensure proper disposal of waste and recyclables.
• Safety and Compliance :
• Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries, particularly when handling heavy marble slabs.
• Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations.
• Team Collaboration :
• Work collaboratively with other warehouse staff to complete tasks and meet deadlines.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members.
• Assist with training new employees as needed.

Skills and Qualifications :

• Technical Skills :
• Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
• Physical Requirements :
• Ability to lift and move heavy marble slabs and products (up to 100 pounds or more with assistance).
• Capable of standing, walking, bending, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in varying temperature conditions.
• Safety Conscious :
• Strong commitment to following safety guidelines and regulations, particularly when handling heavy and fragile materials.
• Knowledge of proper lifting techniques and hazard prevention.

Working Conditions :

• Work is performed in a warehouse environment which may be subject to temperature variations.
