A turf installer laborer is responsible for assisting in the installation of turf or artificial grass on various types of surfaces, such as sports fields, residential lawns, parks, or commercial landscapes. Salary: $17.00 Per Hour

Location: 7am to 4pm (Monday- Friday)

Preparing the work area: Clearing the site of debris, rocks, and other obstacles that could interfere with the installation process. This may involve raking, shoveling, or using other hand tools.

Assisting with ground preparation: Leveling and compacting the soil, as well as applying fertilizers, herbicides, or soil amendments as directed by the supervisor. This may require operating small machinery or equipment, such as compactors or tillers.

Laying and securing turf: Helping to unroll and lay down the turf rolls according to the specified design or pattern. Ensuring proper alignment, cutting turf to fit edges or corners, and securing the turf using adhesives, staples, or nails.

Assisting with irrigation and drainage systems: Installing or connecting irrigation systems, including pipes, sprinklers, and control valves. Ensuring proper water distribution and drainage to maintain the health and appearance of the turf.

Performing minor repairs: Assisting in repairing or replacing damaged turf sections or fixing any issues related to the installation, such as loose seams or edges.

Cleaning and maintaining equipment: Cleaning and storing tools and equipment properly after use. Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.

Following safety procedures: Adhering to safety guidelines and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent accidents or injuries during the installation process.

Supporting team members: Collaborating with other members of the turf installation crew, including supervisors, landscapers, or irrigation technicians, to ensure efficient workflow and project completion.
