New York New York Hotel is currently seeking a dynamic individual to join the team for a FULL-TIME opportunity as a Showroom Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the front-of-house team and ensuring that the shows run smoothly on a daily basis. THE JOB:
As the Showroom Supervisor, you will oversee the front-of-house team, including Ushers, to ensure shows run smoothly. Working closely with the Showroom Manager, you will ensure all guest needs and safety requirements are met. You will carry out these responsibilities for any show on the property, including the Cirque du Soleil show, Mad Apple.
THE STARTING RATE: $26.92/hr
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Assist in covering basic floor management duties in the Manager's absence, such as comping concessions, assigning stations, and authorizing early outs, following established protocols. Complete pre- and post-event reports and manage equipment.
Assist in conducting pre-event briefings with event staff based on direction and information from department leadership.
Create and maintain employee schedules, adjusting station assignments to ensure proper coverage.
Ensure all equipment is appropriately checked out, properly utilized by staff, and checked back in.
Ensure transaction responsibilities, such as ticket handling, customer seating, and answering questions, are conducted according to established procedures.
Monitor and maintain inventory and stock of all equipment and supplies.
Oversee staff interactions with guests at all events to ensure high levels of service.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Prior experience in theater, show productions, or related role.
Have leadership abilities and previous experience in a supervisory position.
Proficient in demonstrating the highest level of guest service.
Proficient in using various Microsoft programs including Microsoft Suite, Word, & Excel.
Self-described with a calm demeanor, detail-oriented, quick to learn, and adept at multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
Available to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
2 Years of Prior Relevant Experience.
Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.
