Overview

MG Properties is seeking an experienced Floating Community Manager to assist with our communities in the Sacramento and Northern CA area!

Responsibilities

The FLOATING MANAGER is responsible for assuming the duties of the Community Managers, Assistant Managers, and Leasing Assistants on all MG properties when necessary due to leave of absence, vacant position, new acquisition or special needs at an assigned community. The Floating Manager will be accountable for all property operations associated with the position to which they are assigned. Their purpose is to effectively manage and coordinate persons, activities and available resources in order to accomplish corporate objectives as set forth by the Vice President of Property Management. These objectives will include maximizing occupancy levels and property values, assist in training, and serve the acquisitions teams as needed. Once assigned to a job site, the FLOATING MANAGER will report to the site supervisor, (i.e., the Regional Manager, Community Manager, or Assistant Manager, depending on the position being filled by the FLOATING MANAGER). The FLOATING MANAGER will act as a troubleshooter and mentor to new managers.

Travel to various property sites within the Northern California region is expected.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 3 years RECENT experience managing a fast-paced apartment community of over 150 units!
• Supervisory/management experience a must!
• Willingness to travel between multiple properties.
• Yardi experience preferred.
• Team building and effective management skills a must!
• Demonstrated operations skills including marketing, budgets, sales, etc. are required to make this position a success!
