We appreciate our drivers for their dedication and professionalism. In this demanding role, you will handle moving tasks, drive safely, and guarantee prompt delivery of our goods to our clients.
Compensation:$18 - $20 hourly
Responsibilities:- Operate and drive single vehicles with a gross vehicle weight (GVW) of up to 26,000 pounds
- Load and unload freight using proper freight handling equipment
- Ensure load contents are securely packed and organized
- Maintain detailed driving and delivery logs
- Perform regular inspections and necessary vehicle maintenance
- Follow delivery and rest schedules as required by DOT
- Maneuver and park large trucks or buses
- Navigate routes with GPS or other routing systems
- Practice safe driving techniques
- Comply with driver and vehicle DOT regulations
- Utilize basic technology
- Follow the MG Moving Services Policies and Procedures for drivers
- Possess and maintain a valid driver's license
- Pass a background check, drug screen, and driving record check
- Maintain a regular and dependable attendance record
- Be able to work variable hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
- Be able to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to operate an electric lift, hand truck, and pallet jack is preferred but not required
- Must be fluent in English, Spanish is a plus
