About the Opportunity

OBJECTIVE:

Oversee and process specific accounting duties for the seed division so the true cost and profitability of seed sales can be realized. All duties should be performed in accordance with company policy.

OUR EXPECTATIONS ARE THAT YOU: 

• Process all the sales and payable activity of the national brand seeds in an accurate and timely manner, includes setting up all items, making sure item is marked with proper license requirement GPOS information in Merchant
• Process the completed shipment and billing of the in-house brand of beans, wheat & corn shipped out of all the non-company owned seed warehouses.
• Understand and support the implementation of the in-house seed programs, includes overseeing and understanding the various retail grower’s financing options, as well as manually calculating all the end of season program credits to retail
• Know and understand all National Brand Seed programs and help retail in understanding and complying with the various requirements to accurately report all grower sales data for all available rebate programs
• Understand basic accounting principles in order to properly record the various program accruals, prepays and production activity properly in the financials
• Work with retail personnel on the interconnectivity of Seed processes between Merchant & Vanguard, must have a basic understanding of how the retail system (Merchant) works and extensive knowledge of how the wholesale (Vanguard) system works
• Help all product managers with system issues and keep them trained and informed of any new processes or procedures
• Help product managers trouble shoot any inventory or productions issues they may be having

HIGHLY QUALIFIED CANDIDATES WILL BRING: 

• B.S. degree in Accounting preferred
• 5 years accounting experience – with some exposure to production of product
