Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic General Manager to lead our team and drive the continued success of our truck equipment store. The store is well established with several long- tenured installers who are knowledgeable and well respected in the industry/market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail management, a passion for the automotive industry, and excellent leadership skills. The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of store operations and sales to ensure financial efficiency, inventory control, customer service, associate morale and other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Manage branch performance to assure alignment with all policies, practices, and culture of the organization.
- Oversee the financial efficiency of the location.
- Develop and maintain business relationships with current and potential customers and suppliers.
- Support initial and ongoing training and qualifications of all branch employees.
- Conduct performance evaluations and address branch personnel issues.
- Interview and hire applicants for branch positions.
- Report accidents in a timely manner & conducts the appropriate accident investigation process and follows up with associate in accordance with guidance
- Oversee all aspects of store operations, including sales, inventory management, customer service, and staff supervision.
- Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and resolving any issues or concerns in a timely manner.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for business growth and expansion.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
- Foster a positive work environment and promote teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
What we expect:
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, associates, or regulatory agencies.
- Ability to read and interpret financial reports, general business documents, legal documents or governmental regulations and implement a plan to enhance business and course correct as needed.
- Ability to lead people, coach to get results through others and motivate and develop talent.
- Ability to effectively communicate, orally and in writing, and present information to management, customers, vendors, associates, and the public.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions to solve practical problems where only limited information and standardization exists.
- A strong mechanical background will be helpful to understand the industry.
- Conflict management and diffusion skills to foster a solution-oriented environment that does not take matters personal.
- Time management and organization skills, including the ability to plan and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds with or without accommodation.
- Be passionate about learning.
- Travel may be required on occasion, a valid driver’s license required with proven safe driving record.
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in retail management, preferably in the automotive or truck equipment industry.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of sales and marketing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.

Job Type: Full-time
Work hours are 7:30 am - 5 pm, Monday through Friday.
Starting salary of $85,000
Pay is based upon experience.
