Meyer Distributing is looking for a Database Administrator to join our Arlington, TX team - we are hiring immediately! Meyer Distributing is a leader in automotive specialty products marketing and warehouse distribution.
Education/Certification(s):
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information technology or a related field
· Must have previous SQL development or DBA positions
Requirements for Database Administrator:
· Must have worked in a SQL development or DBA position for 3 to 5 years

Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm
Database Administrator duties include but are not limited to:
· Install, configure, and maintain database software and related technologies, ensuring optimal performance and scalability.
· Monitor database performance metrics and proactively identify and address issues to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
· Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard data integrity and minimize downtime.
· Design and implement security measures to protect sensitive data and comply with regulatory requirements.
· Collaborate with developers and other stakeholders to optimize database schema, queries, and indexing strategies for improved performance.
