As an Information Assurance Analyst, you'll develop information systems assurance programs and control guidelines, and assist in resolving technical problems, priorities, and methods, under general supervision, with the goal of making an impact across the federal government.

What you'll do:

• Advise subordinates on administrative policies and procedures and resolve technical problems, priorities, and methods.
• Consult with and advise other sections regarding internal controls and security procedures.
• Prepare activity and progress reports relating to the information systems audit function.

What you'll need to succeed:

• Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  2-4 years of experience in information assurance or cybersecurity, preferably in a similar analyst role.
  Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements, such as ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR, etc.
  Familiarity with common cybersecurity technologies and solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, and data encryption.
  Understanding of the principles and practices of information assurance, risk management, and IT governance.
  Certification in a recognized security certification such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CompTIA Security is preferred.
  Active Secret Clearance
