Metropolitan Theatres is Hiring an Operations/Events Manager Near San Clemente, CA

Metropolitan Theatre Corporation (MTC) opened a new 10-Plex Dine-In Theatre located at The Outlets of San Clemente in San Clemente, CA. MTC is seeking a motivated individual to take on a leadership role in the operations of a high-volume, high-quality and from-scratch kitchen as we provide Southern California an experience like no other! The theatre is not only be serving food to the auditoriums, but will soon be opening a stand-alone, trendy restaurant in the lobby as well.

Operations Duties & Responsibilities

  • Handle tasks such as counting money, making deposits, balancing cash drawers, performing opening and closing procedures, and performing nightly and weekly inventories.
  • Assist in creating an environment that consistently provides high levels of service to our guests.
  • Resolve guest concerns regarding service, films, concession products, dining experience, condition of facility, their overall experience and more.
  • Proficient in all the functions of the POS system.
  • Handle floor operations such as allocating resources effectively, recognizing and anticipating problems, and reacting quickly to provide solutions.
  • Have a passion and understanding of true hospitality and demonstrate it daily.
  • Complete reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Accomplishes human resource objectives by recruiting, selecting, orientating, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and when necessary, disciplining theatre/restaurant employees.
  • Enforces policies and procedures.
  • Control costs by ordering proper amount of product according to business levels. Minimize waste (spoilage/damage).
  • Ensure outstanding on-screen presentation by diligently checking the operation and maintenance of the digital projection equipment.
  • Maintains a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing, following, and enforcing sanitation standards and procedures. Comply with all legal regulations.
  • Manages, coordinates and responds in a timely manner to all requests from the corporate office.
  • Delegates projects and assignments to others and follows-up on the performance and completion of their tasks.

Events Duties & Responsibilities

  • Facilitate outreach for theatre rentals, IMAX films/documentaries school program, Scripted Bar & Kitchen event rentals.
  • Manage digital content on display boards within the theatre.
  • Manage Scripted Bar & Kitchen/SC social media accounts - (create engaging and entertaining content.)
  • Work with the mall marketing team on special event needs.
  • Management of all marketing materials.

Requirements

  • Must possess excellent communication skills.
  • Must be a team player and have good leadership skills.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Hours to include nights, weekends and holidays.
  • 3 years in customer service/restaurant position
  • 2 years in a leadership role
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office
  • Organizational planning and time management.

Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
