Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Surgical Technologist to join our team. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the successful outcomes of our patients. This is a full-time position within our busy surgical department.Duties:

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterilized and readily available
• Assist with patient positioning and prepping for surgery
• Hand instruments, sutures, and other supplies to the surgeon during procedures
• Maintain a sterile field throughout the surgery by following proper aseptic techniques
• Assist with wound closure and dressing application
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure a safe and efficient surgical environment
• Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized operating room

Education/Experience/Training:

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program or;
• Successful completion of the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) certification exam or;
• Completion of a facility based on the job training with a minimum of 10 years experience.
• BLS (AHA) required
• Strong understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
