To qualify you must have a Technical Diploma Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology Program. Certification by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting. Current and valid Basic Life Support (BLS) Course Completion. Strong communication (both written and oral), critical thinking, problem-solving, detail orientation, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Basic computer skills. Ability to work efficiently and cope with emergency situation. Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
Preferred Qualifications:2-3 years In a Surgical Technologist role.Our Surgery Center specializes in same-day outpatient surgeries. Our specialties include Orthopedics, Hand Microsurgery, Neurosurgery, Joint Replacement, ENT, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, General Surgery, Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, and Pain Management. Our surgeons are here to meet the needs of both adult and pediatric members of our community. We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Certified Surgical Technologist.In this role, the successful candidate under the direction of the RN, plans the delivery of safe, therapeutic, age-specific care. Works collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to promote wellness and optimize patient outcomes. Provides the surgical team with the necessary instruments, sutures, special equipment, and materials needed to perform surgery while maintaining strict aseptic technique. Assists in circulating obtains instruments, supplies and equipment necessary while the surgical procedure is in progress. Participates in unit/departmental/institutional performance improvement activities that impact patient and service outcomes.Job Requirements/Responsibilities
