Job Summary

Metropolitan Community Services (MCS) has a Direct Support Professional (DSP) position to fill immediately. The individual is looking for a female DSP (IHS) for 3 hours/week in the Apple Valley area.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Home management skills
• Running errands
• Meal prep/grocery shopping
• Assist the client with mail and paperwork as needed
• Other independent living skills development

Requirements:

• English-speaker
• Calm demeanor
• Experience as a DSP
• Experience with documentation
• Experience with running formal outcome plans
• Pass a background check
• DSP needs to be friendly towards cats

Additional Details:

• Please allow up to 4 business days for your application to be processed.
• All hired DSP's will be provided training that is available online.
• MCS doesn't reimburse for mileage at this time.
• MCS is a non-profit organization.

**Note: This individual also has 8.75 hours/week (or 1.25 hours/day) of PCA hours that pays at $18/hour the applicant can apply for as well.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 per week

Experience:

• Caregiving: 2 years (Required)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Apple Valley, MN: Relocate before starting work (Required)
