Position Number 852 Branch Financial Services Division Financial Aid/MVS Department Work Study Job Description
Demonstrate a professional image as Federal Work Study Assistant (FWS Assistant) with various MCC Offices and or Work study approved sites. The FWS Assistant will demonstrate leadership abilities while providing guidance and support to the (work study site location). Must be outgoing and friendly and possess a commitment to the MCC campus work study community.
ESSENTIALPOSITIONFUNCTIONS:
  • Provides support for staff according to office needs
  • General clerical duties
  • Greeting customers
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Ability to work with diverse student body in a diverse team environment
  • Basic customer service skills – Good people skills
  • Basic Microsoft Word proficiency
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLSANDABILITIES:
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to speak with employees and customers
  • Proficient phone etiquette skills – answer phones, direct calls to appropriate persons and take messages
  • Basic customer service skills – Good people skills
  • Ability to pay close attention to details
  • Have an ability to handle confidential information (follow all HIPPA regulations if required)
  • Demonstrate flexibility and easily adapt to change
  • Must be reliable and demonstrate a strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills and professionalism
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and follow timelines
  • Ability to lift 15 pounds (not all positions)
  • Ability to maintain good working relationships with employees and customers
  • Basic clerical duties – organizational, filing, and record keeping skills
