Position: Shuttle Driver
Location: Longview Regional Medical Center
Shift: Part-time (12pm - 9pm)
Pay: $12.50/hr
Shuttle Driver Position:
As a Shuttle Driver, you will be responsible for transporting guests by driving a vehicle holding under 15 passengers (or smaller vehicles as needed) within the assigned location, providing safe shuttling service, exceptional customer service, and a warm and friendly arrival and departure experience.
The ideal candidate will be a friendly, caring, dedicated individual with good cross-cultural sensitivity and the willingness to put in extra effort and time when required, as well as a passion for serving customers. You will work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and enjoy working with a multi-cultural team and guests alike, while possessing following;

What you can expect in a typical day:
  • Greet customers in a courteous manner; provide customer satisfaction with a friendly demeanor and willingness to help
  • Shuttle guests to and from their cars to various locations on the location.
  • Communicate with customers and staff who have general inquiries about parking, parking locations, and guest services
  • Use and maintain equipment properly, including keeping equipment clean
  • Work independently and as part of the team
  • Always observe safety precautions
  • Reports any maintenance problems to Maintenance in accordance with Company procedure and does not operate an unsafe vehicle
  • Reports to duty on time and maintains route on time but in a safe manner
  • Physically assists passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency
  • Immediately reports any accident or incident per Company policy
  • Keeps the interior of the assigned vehicle clean and presentable
  • Ensures vehicle is properly fueled according to facility procedures
  • Completes all required paperwork (including route change sheets, vehicle repair requests) and submits to the appropriate authority in a timely manner
  • Prepares vehicle for inclement weather conditions, including scraping or cleaning windows, applying tire chains
  • Safely and efficiently utilizes vehicle equipment, including wheelchair lifts, radios and emergency equipment
  • Must ensure that individuals with disabilities have adequate time to complete boarding or disembarking from the vehicle
  • Other duties as assigned

What we will expect of you:
Essential Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.   • Stand for up to six (6) consecutive hours

  • Incumbent must maintain a clean driving record and current, valid driver license
Position Qualifications
Skills and Abilities
  • Strong interpersonal skills; frequently communicate with team members and customers; must be able to exchange accurate information.
  • Drivers must have an F Endorsement. Drivers with a CDL C or B license are still encouraged to express interest.
  • Must meet Department of Transportation (DOT) testing and physical requirements and be knowledgeable of DOT regulations
  • Ability to drive vehicles of all makes, models, and sizes
  • Reliability and responsibility
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • Prior valet parking attendant experience preferred
Other Requirements
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends
  • Expected to constantly work in all outdoor weather conditions
  • Required to wear a uniform and follow appropriate grooming standards
Physical Demands and Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, hear, stand, and handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to reach and handle keys and may be frequently required to sit. The employee is regularly required to walk swiftly and occasionally required to stoop, kneel, and crouch. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
