SUMMARY:
This at-will position will lead the Metrodora Institute Neurorehabilitation Team. In this position, you will play a crucial role in defining, implementing, and monitoring the goals, budget, and performance standards of Metrodora Institute. Our therapy team is central to our clinical team, and this position presents a great opportunity to expand our therapy offerings beyond the traditional clinic setting. There is opportunity to innovative on methods of service delivery, contribute to the growth and excellence of our neurorehabilitation services.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

The following list of functions is descriptive of the work to be performed, but it should not be construed as an exhaustive list of responsibilities, processes, or tasks that the job may require.

  • Maintains a 50% clinical, 50% administrative role initially to learn our patient population, workflow, and the team.
  • Maintains active leadership and clinical responsibilities.
  • Establishes and implements goals, objectives, policies, procedures, and systems for the Therapy Services team.
  • Develops, approves, and supervises the implementation of new programs in collaboration with Metrodora leadership and appropriate stakeholders.
  • Utilizes effective problem identification and resolution skills as a method of sound decision making.
  • Identifies and implements innovative means of providing care to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Directs and develops staff by managing clinic schedules, counseling employees, assigning tasks, ensuring documentation compliance, and enforcing adherence to clinical policies.
  • Recruits, orients, and trains new members of the Neurorehabilitation Team. • Enforces adherence to health care regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; respects the confidentiality of information learned while employed by Metrodora.

NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to assess and resolve complex logistical, technical, and patient care problems and issues.
  • Ability to address and manage conflict in a direct and professional manner.
  • Ability to build collaborative relationships with providers.
  • Knowledge of outpatient clinical administrative procedures.
  • Knowledge of safety, environmental, and infection control measures.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care and other third-party payor’s guidelines.
  • Ability to accurately document and maintain records.

Education and Experience:

  • Must have a current license in Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Master’s or doctorate degree in a related field required.
  • 5 years of experience in a clinical setting required; additional 2 years of management experience preferred.

The job requires regularly lifting/pushing up to 25 pounds and occasionally lifting/pushing more than 50 pounds or exerting heavy force in a wide disparity of environmental conditions. The job involves standing, sitting, walking, stooping, bending, lifting, pushing, etc.
