Property Management Company seeks temporary to possible permanent full-time Superintendent for a Cooperative Apartment Building located in Brooklyn, NY

Responsibilities include overall building/property maintenance, cleanliness, general repairs and oversight of building staff and concierge.

Requirements

• Superintendent experience preferred
• Working knowledge and experience of all trade types (carpentry, plumbing, painting, plastering, electrical, mechanical, etc.).
• Hands-on ability to maintain building mechanical systems, equipment.
• Experience with maintenance of oil and gas operated boilers.
• Must meet all FDNY sprinkler / standpipe licenses, certifications and requirements.
• Ability to promptly and successfully respond to Resident issues and work requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Experience in conducting building inspections, correcting deficiencies and follow-up.
• Ability to coordinate vendors and contractors.
• Must possess administrative skills and be computer literate.
• Excellent organizational, communication and time management skills.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize with efficiency and accuracy and with a commitment to maintaining high building standards.
• Excellent and professional customer service skills, and ability to work well with others in a service role.
• Oversees and provides preventive maintenance for all facilities and equipment.
• Performs general office work including maintaining work logs, employee time, log books, keeping inventories and providing management with weekly reports.
• Position comes with an apartment when hired permanently. Appropriate family composition may ONLY apply.
• Pets are permitted on the premises with Board approval.
