Overview: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Treatment Coordinator to join our dental office. The Treatment Coordinator plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the office and providing excellent patient care. This position requires knowledge of dental office procedures, medical coding, insurance verification, and adherence to HIPAA regulations. Responsibilities: - Greet and check-in patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience - Schedule appointments and manage the office calendar - Verify insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations - Assist with medical coding using ICD-10 and ICD-9 codes - Maintain accurate patient records and update medical history as needed - Provide patients with treatment plan information, including cost estimates and payment options - Coordinate referrals to specialists as required - Assist with managing managed care contracts and insurance billing - Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and timely treatment coordination - Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Experience: - Previous experience working in a dental office or similar healthcare setting is preferred - Familiarity with medical coding using ICD-10 and ICD-9 codes - Knowledge of insurance verification processes and managed care contracts - Proficient in using dental office software for scheduling, billing, and record keeping - Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to provide exceptional customer service to patients We offer competitive compensation based on experience.
