Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic Event Coordinator to join our team and assist in executing memorable events. The Event Coordinator will be Metro Cuisine's on site client contact, executing all events based on details and timelines as determined by the Salesperson. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and a keen eye for detail.
Duties:
- Act as the on site contact between the client and Metro Cuisine in absence of the Sales Managers on events
- Provide excellent guest services before and during events
- Oversee setup, breakdown, and cleanup of event spaces
- On site supervision of all Metro Cuisine staff
- Assures proper event execution, service and safety standards
- Ensure proper behavior of staff during event
- Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during an event
- Attend walk-throughs and final meetings as needed (generally takes place Monday through Friday, between 9-5. Will be coordinated with the salesperson)
- Planning execution with the Sales Manager
- Attend meetings as requested to finalize details with salesperson and client
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in event planning within the hospitality industry (restaurant, hotel, etc.) preferred, but not required.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Exceptional organizational skills to manage logistics efficiently
