Rad Tech III

Our Award Winning Client, a nationally recognized leader with numerous accolades, is seeking a Rad Tech III to join their team. This role, under the direction of the Director of Imaging Services and in collaboration with the Medical Director, encompasses a range of radiologic procedures.

Position Summary: The Rad Tech III will perform various specialized radiologic procedures, adhering to departmental protocols. Responsibilities include monitoring patients during procedures, operating various equipment, and ensuring the highest quality diagnostic images through independent judgment. The role involves maintaining and calibrating equipment, assisting Radiologists with sterile techniques, and fostering professional relationships with physicians and staff. Additional duties as needed. Must be available for various shifts, including weekends and on-call duties.

Responsibilities:

• Perform specialized radiologic procedures according to departmental protocols.
• Monitor patients during procedures to ensure safety and comfort.
• Operate and calibrate various imaging equipment.
• Assist with QA and QI studies to improve departmental performance.
• Coordinate patient flow to enhance efficiency.
• Use independent judgment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
• Maintain professional relationships with physicians and staff.
• Assist Radiologists during procedures using sterile techniques.
• Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

• Graduate of a school of Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist.
• Current Computed Tomography (CT) License for special procedures.
• Current ARRT certification.
• Current Certified Radiology Tech (CRT) – California Radiologic Health Branch (RHB) Certification.
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Cath Lab experience is preferred.

Mandatory Requirements:

• Annual Orientation and Update.
• Ethics Training.
• BLS certification.
• Direct Care Provider, CPI.
• Fluoroscopic permit required.
• Venipuncture for contrasting within one (1) year of hire.

Candidate Details: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in radiologic technology with at least three years of experience. Essential certifications include a CT License, ARRT, CRT, and BLS. The candidate should be prepared to work various shifts, including weekends and on-call, and possess excellent skills in operating and calibrating imaging equipment. Experience in a Cath Lab is a plus.
