What You’ll Do

The Material Handler is responsible for working with our incoming lumber on the prep side of the plant, or the processing of our finished goods products on the moulder side of the plant.

Shift Timings

Night Shift – 5:00 PM to 3:30 AM, Monday to Thursday

Who You Are

Requirements:

Learn Metrie grading standards and sort materials for optimal usage

Ability to correctly interpret sorting/piling instructions

Capable of lifting 25 lbs. regularly and 50-60 lbs. occasionally

A strong ability to adapt to changing conditions and complete various tasks

Self-motivation and a demonstrated focus on achieving company goals

The ability to work methodically to the pace set by the machine center

Use downtime to assist with cleanup and work area organization

Other duties as assigned by Supervisor

High level of integrity and strong work ethic

Safety:

Keep work area neat, clean and free of hazards

Wear required PPE at all times

Follow proper lock-out-tag-out (LOTO) policy at all times

Report unsafe incidents and conditions

Use proper lifting techniques

Maintain awareness of safety hazards in work areas and throughout the plant
