Seeking an experienced project coordinator on behalf of a rapidly expanding multi-division subcontractor in New York. This client, founded in 1995, has evolved into a leading construction firm, specializing in a multitude of disciplines including concrete, masonry, plastering, drywall, and acoustic solutions, civils, metal & glass, and general contracting. They have successfully completed projects valued at nearly $1 billion, solidifying their reputation as a leader in the industry.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Project Coordinator with a specialization in insurance compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in handling insurance processes, including Certificates of Insurance (COIs), lien waivers, OSHA & CSIP enrollments, and other related documentation. This role will involve working closely with project managers, subcontractors, and insurance providers to ensure compliance with insurance requirements and mitigate risk on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain insurance documentation for all projects, including Certificates of Insurance (COIs), additional insured endorsements, and waiver of subrogation endorsements.
  • Review and analyze insurance requirements outlined in contracts and ensure compliance with project-specific insurance provisions.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors to obtain and verify insurance documentation, including general liability, workers' compensation, and auto insurance.
  • Assist in the preparation and submission of insurance-related documents, such as claims, endorsements, and certificates of completion.
  • Monitor and track subcontractor compliance with OSHA and CSIP requirements, including enrollment in safety programs and training initiatives.
  • Review and interpret insurance-related forms and documents, such as Accord forms, subrogation forms, and lien waivers.
  • Collaborate with project managers to assess project risks and develop risk mitigation strategies related to insurance and compliance.
  • Act as a liaison between project stakeholders, insurance providers, and regulatory agencies to resolve insurance-related issues and ensure compliance with legal and contractual requirements.
  • Provide support and guidance to project teams on insurance and compliance matters, including interpretation of insurance policies and procedures
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of [X] years of experience in project coordination, insurance compliance, or a related field within the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance requirements and processes, including Certificates of Insurance (COIs), additional insured endorsements, and waiver of subrogation endorsements.
  • Familiarity with insurance-related forms and documents, such as Accord forms, subrogation forms, and lien waivers.
  • Experience with OSHA and CSIP enrollments, safety programs, and regulatory compliance in the construction industry.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
