Metopio is Hiring a Research Analyst Near Chicago, IL
- Serve as the lead for data collection, processing and analysis
- Develop and update the organization’s data collection and evaluation agenda
- Oversee a portfolio of data analysis projects and convey findings and conclusions through our products or directly to clients
- Process large and small datasets using scripting languages like Python with minimal to no manual involvement
- Serve as the data liaison with external partners, including local, state, or federal agencies, helping establish, maintain, and strengthen partnerships with organizations that own the data
- Assist with survey design and data collection strategies
- Manage data requests from internal and external stakeholders, making pragmatic decisions about how best to achieve our goals
- Maintain and expand user-friendly and technical documentation about all datasets we provide
- Research, prototype, and help build new tools and automations to process datasets and provide client insights more quickly, such as AWS Lambda, Glue, and/or Clean Rooms
- Liaison with the product and engineering teams to build improvements to our data processing and data exploration tools
- Must have at least 5 years' experience in positions of increasing responsibility in data analysis, data processing and/or research
- Highly proficient with Python, SQL, R and Excel
- Graduate level understanding of quantitative analysis
- Experience with program evaluation methods
- Experience working with an array of public datasets
- Excellent multitasking and project management skills
- Experience problem-solving with customers and end users with a range of research and analysis skills
- Experience working with data pipelines in AWS or other cloud infrastructure
- Experience working on healthcare datasets such as claims, surveillance, and EMR data
- Experience with SAS, SPSS or other statistical software
