Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Catheterization Lab team. As a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care during cardiac catheterization procedures. Duties:
- Perform pre-procedure assessments, including reviewing patient history and medications
- Assist with patient preparation for cardiac catheterization procedures
- Monitor patients during procedures, including vital signs, EKGs, and hemodynamic measurements
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids as needed
- Assist with the insertion and removal of catheters and other devices
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care
- Document all procedures, interventions, and patient responses accurately and timely
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding the procedure and post-procedure care
Skills:
- Proficient in tube feeding techniques and protocols
- Knowledge of assisted living systems and protocols
- Ability to perform suturing as needed
- Experience with specimen collection processing
- Familiarity with emergency room procedures and protocols
- Proficient in laboratory processes and equipment operation
- Experience using Cerner or similar electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and interventions
- Strong anatomy knowledge to assist with catheter placement
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in [STATE]
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a Catheterization Lab or related cardiac care setting
- BLS certification required; ACLS certification preferred
