Methodist Healthcare Ministries is Hiring a SharePoint Content Administrator Near San Antonio, TX

Position Summary:
The Information Technology department, composed of five service lines – Desktop Support, Cyber Security, Health Informatics, Network & Infrastructure Support, and Technical Project Management – delivers significant value and impact to the organization through its diverse services.
This individual is responsible for managing, organizing, maintaining, and updating content within MHM’s SharePoint environment, ensuring it meets user needs effectively. They collaborate with different departments to understand their content requirements and structure SharePoint sites for easy access and collaboration. This role is critical as it serves as the “voice of the customer” and is a liaison between business and technology teams across all functional areas.
Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Quality Assurance: Collaborates with supported teams to define business use cases, validate system functionality, and ensure the delivery of high-quality solutions. Performs user acceptance testing and provides timely feedback.
  • Customer Satisfaction: Works collaboratively with all internal and external resources to maintain the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Process-based Management (PBM): Assesses and resolves problems, completes audits, identifies trends, determines process improvements needed, and implements necessary changes in accordance with the organization’s PBM framework.
  • Data-driven Performance Measurement : assists in preparing, statistically monitoring, and reporting key performance measures for SharePoint projects implemented.
  • Content Management & Strategy: Oversees the organization, refinement, and standardization of SharePoint sites.
  • SharePoint Implementation: Leads the rollout of SharePoint solutions, tailoring deployments to support and enhance the workflows of various functional areas within the organization. Helps plan, develop, and configure document libraries and site collections.
  • User Support & Engagement: Provides comprehensive support to users, from troubleshooting to personalized training, to ensure optimal use of SharePoint features.
  • Access Control & Security: Manages user access permissions with an eye for security and compliance, ensuring appropriate access levels are maintained.
  • Customization & User Experience: Helps customize SharePoint sites to enhance functionality and visual appeal, adjust basic layouts, and create workflows to automate processes to align with user needs and corporate branding.
  • Performance Monitoring: Utilizes analytics to monitor site usage, user feedback, improvement opportunities, and the impact of changes.
  • Guidelines & Best Practices: Develops and enforces SharePoint usage policies, promoting effective and efficient platform use across the organization.
  • Industry Trends and Best Practices : Stays updated on the latest industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to SharePoint and its integration with other collaboration, communication, and document management solutions. Proactively identifies opportunities for innovation and process improvement.
  • Troubleshooting and Support : As a subject matter expert, responds to SharePoint reported incidences and service requests.
  • Project Management : Plan, executes and oversees the implementation of new, SharePoint applications and services.
  • Security, Governance & Compliance: MHM is dedicated to protecting patient data at MHM, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA, HITECH, and HITRUST requirements.
Education and/or Experience:
Associate degree in information systems, Information Systems Management, Office Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Business Administration, Communications or related field is required. Three (3 )years’ experience implementing SharePoint with Microsoft 365 is required.
In lieu of degree, must have a high school diploma or GED, and five (5) years of experience implementing and configuring SharePoint with Microsoft 365.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Microsoft 365 Teamwork Administrator Associate certification preferred.
Note: this certification is for professionals focusing on SharePoint, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and additional collaboration tools within the Microsoft 365 suite. This certification, or demonstrated equivalent experience, indicates proficiency deploying, configuring, deploy, and managing a SharePoint and teamwork infrastructure in an enterprise environment for a small to medium-sized organization across various functional areas.
Language Skills:
Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business requirements, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to prepare presentations and documents that conform to prescribed style and format. Must speak effectively and respond to questions before groups of customers, community members, leaders, or employees (diverse audiences).
Reasoning Ability:
A creative, strategic, and forward thinker with the drive to work independently and in group settings. A negotiator with interpersonal and relational skills, including a demonstrated ability to work in a complex and matrix team environment, with a strong focus on collaboration and innovation. Skilled in project management, setting and meeting deadlines, and time management.
Need to understand processes and work creatively with diverse stakeholders to build consensus. Sound judgment and maturity, exemplified by consistent professionalism, with an ability to identify and address organizational needs, develop and justify recommendations, and be responsive and transparent in interacting with individuals at all levels, internally and externally.
Must be able to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Must deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. Can manage diverse stakeholder input and the strategic perspective in real-time—the ability to align business requirements to strategic imperatives and identify methods to execute using technological resources.
Computer Skills:

Ability to use and create graphics, build presentations, visualize data and report analytics, and proficiency using business applications, systems and databases. Required

This position may require travel outside of San Antonio up to 50% of the time.
