The Recruiter is responsible for the recruitment of long term foster homes for the agency’s Unaccompanied Children program; oversees and conducts foster parent orientation and training; conducts home evaluations and annual reassessments; and works closely with long term foster care staff in maintaining licensing standards.

• Assess the ability of potential foster families to provide care to children and to maintain compliance with foster home licensing rules; complete initial, annual, and renewal evaluations of prospective and currently licensed foster homes; investigate complaints that relate to the care of children in the foster home to ensure the home maintains compliance with licensing regulations.
• Develop, maintain, and participate in the recruitment and development of families to take on children by providing initial orientation and ongoing training to prospective and current long term foster parents.

Education and Experience Required 

• Bachelor’s degree in the behavioral sciences, human services or social services fields.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish (orally and written) required.
