Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct sales calls throughout the assigned territory to understand agronomy needs, provide solutions, and cultivate long-term relationships with customers.
  • Plan and execute test plots at farms to demonstrate improved crop varieties such as corn and soybeans, utilizing them as a sales tool.
  • Develop and maintain a current customer and prospect list, evaluating them based on operational size, creditworthiness, and other relevant marketing information.
  • Stay updated on agronomic products, trends, and services to effectively sell agronomy products ethically.
  • Recommend and sell products and programs to producers within company credit and pricing policies.
  • Provide timely feedback to management on competitive sales, pricing, and marketing information.
  • Communicate with management regarding product sales, prepayments, and any issues with products, programs, or producers.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university with two to four years of related experience; or Associate's degree in Ag with four to five years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Current driver's license with a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) is required.
  • Certified Crop Advisor (CCA) certification is a plus but not required.
  • Willingness to travel daily within the territory with minimal overnight travel.

Salary and Benefits: We offer a competitive salary ranging from $65,000 to $80,000 per year, plus commission. In addition, we provide opportunities for professional growth, a supportive work environment, and comprehensive benefits.
