METALICO is Hiring a Yard Worker - 2nd Shift (FT) Near Pittsburgh, PA
- Evening Shift 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm.
- $16/hour $2/hour shift differential = $18/hour.
- Clean and prepare the job site in a tidy and safe manner.
- Use a variety of tools and machines: blowtorches, forklifts, skid steers, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
- Sort and process scrap metal according to grade and size.
- Communicate with managers, supervisors, and co-workers clearly and respectfully.
- Must be able to work assigned schedule.
- Must be able to perform a variety of tasks in all kinds of weather/seasons.
- Required to wear proper PPE (steel-toed boots, hard hats, safety glasses).
- High School degree or equivalent preferred.
- Able to operate bobcats, forklifts, and loaders is a plus.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
- Quick learner who can follow directions.
- Good communication skills.
- Team player.
- Organized, consistent, and good at multitasking.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work.
- Prior to hiring - Must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug test, and criminal background check.
