METALICO is Hiring a Yard/Warehouse Laborer Near Niagara Falls, NY

JOB TITLE: Yard/Warehouse Laborer
REPORTS TO: Feeder Yard Manager
JOB TYPE: Full-time, Non-Exempt
LOCATION: Metalico Niagara Falls (2133 Maple Ave. Niagara Falls, NY 14305)
HOURS: Monday - Friday 7:15 AM - 4:00 PM, Saturdays 7:30AM-11:30AM.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Load and unload scrap metal materials.
Clean and prepare the job site in a tidy and safe manner.
Use a variety of tools and machines: blowtorches, forklifts, lifts, power drills, grinders, saws, pressure washers, and water spraying equipment.
Sort and process scrap metal according to grade and size.
Communicate with managers, supervisors, co-workers, and customers clearly and respectfully.
Must be able to work the assigned schedule.
Must be able to perform a variety of tasks in all kinds of weather/seasons.
Required to wear proper PPE (steel-toed boots, hard hats, safety glasses, etc.)

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school degree or equivalent preferred.
Able to operate bobcats, forklifts, and loaders a plus
Ability to lift 50lbs. and stand for long periods of time
Knowledge of the various ferrous and non-ferrous metals a plus
Quick learner who can follow directions
Good communication skills
Team player
Organized, consistent, and good at multitasking
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to work
Prior to hire - must be able to pass a pre-employment physical, drug screening,
