COMPENSATION : Commensurate with experience ranging from $16 - $20 per hour

EMPLOYMENT TYPE : Full-Time 40 hours / week

WORK SCHEDULE :

During the following hours of operation :

Monday - Friday 8 : 00 am - 4 : 30 pm, Saturday as needed 8 : 00 am 12 : 00 pm

JOB OVERVIEW :

Scrap metal yard located in Ashville NY, seeks a General Laborer / Heavy Equipment Operator to handle day to day tasks. These responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

• Material purchase entries, including weighing truck in / out, verifying accounts / prices
• Creating and maintaining all outbound documents
• Clerical and administrative support including filing
• Communicate with yard personnel using a 2-way radio
• Assist with yard projects as assigned
• Move material using various forms of heavy equipment
• Provide excellent customer service

REQUIREMENTS :

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Valid Drivers’ License
• Strong attention to detail as well as an efficient, hardworking, and dependable attitude.
• Computer aptitude (Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook)
• Ability to work with little or no supervision, are flexible and a team player
• Detail Oriented
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Ability to Operate Heavy Equipment / Forklift Helpful
